Nov 2008 - Art Exhibition at Bathers' Pavilion

Guy Troughton Art Exhibition at Balmoral Bathers' Pavilion to benefit Tabitha

Tabitha is set to benefit at the opening of a beautiful art exhibition featuring the works of acclaimed watercolourist Guy Troughton on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9 2008 from 6.30-8.30pn at the Bathers' Pavilion on Balmoral Beach.

Guy has generously donated an original framed painting which will be raffled at the opening and the Bathers' Pavilion is kindly donating 20% of all sales in aid of the Tabitha Foundation.

Along with Guy's beautiful art, guests will be treated to wine, canapes and a spectacular view.

A group of Balmoral residents is travelling to Cambodia in February 2009 to build a number of houses in the Battambang area.

The Board has just concluded a funding review with Tabitha Cambodia regarding housebuilding costs.

With increased costs, too many Tabitha families have not been able to save their contributions to the cost of the building materials ...

Sep 2008 - Pine Rivers State High School

sept13articlePine Rivers State High School - Report on a Family Helped by Tabitha Koung So Phorn and his family live in the Commune of Sre Kror Sang in the Western Cambodian Province of Kompong Speu. The Commune is a refuge for war veterans, land mine victims and those suffering post traumatic stress.

Sep 2008 - What a difference a well (or seven) makes.....Update from Janne

Dear Friends,

Yesterday was another magical day. I went out to Tanong Village in Takeo to see the impact of our seven field wells. These wells service 28 families – families whom we were told two years ago by the commune chief – don’t bother - they are very lazy and very stupid people. Just the words needed to challenge our staff as those words were used on them for so many years.
