Tabitha goes Indian - for a gala dinner

2010 Tabitha Foundation Australia Fundraising Dinner

to be held at

Nilgiri’s Indian Restaurant, St Leonards, Sydney,

on Monday evening, 6th September 2010.

Tabitha Foundation has been assisting the poorest Cambodian families for 14 years.  Tabitha staff work within each village introducing a savings program which helps each family afford basic needs such as food to eat, access to clean water, the ability to earning a living, the achievement of a safe place to live and access to education. Tabitha has been very successful and has helped change the lives of over 33,000 Cambodian families.

It costs Tabitha just $25 to help one family for one year and this evening will see us fundraising to enable Tabitha to move into new areas throughout Cambodia to assist even more families.

It's a casual evening commencing at 6.30pm and conclude by around 10.00pm. An award winning Indian feast will be served and there will be the opportunity to contribute to the work of the Tabitha Foundation by participation in raffles, auctions and the purchase of beautiful silk items handcrafted by Tabitha’s cottage industry workers.

Tickets are  $50 per head (which will support 2 families) and drinks will be available for purchase.

Award winning chef Ajoy Joshi ( www.nilgiris.com.au) is providing a magnificent Indian banquet and all funds raised from dinner (including the ticket price) and on the night will go to Tabitha Cambodia.  Nilgiris has won the 2009 “Best Indian” award from Restaurant and Catering (NSW) and previously won the 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008 awards, so you can look forward to some stunning food.

The Tabitha Challenge is a great way for everyone to make a significant difference to poverty in Cambodia . The key to the Tabitha Challenge is that not only do individuals donate $25 per year to Tabitha they also agree to recruit two others to join the Challenge each year ! By joining the Challenge these two new donors also agree to recruit two additional donors each year ...and so on. As a result you can create your very own donation family which just continues to grow and grow. Just Imagine if you can recruit someone new to the Tabitha Challenge each month and these new recruits also were able to recruit two others each month... and so on for all the new recruits.In just 6 months you would have been responsible for 729 members  joining the Tabitha Challenge . And you would have been the catalyst for $18, 225 being donated to Tabitha to help Cambodians help themselves climb out of poverty. Are you ready to join the Tabitha Challenge?
