To raise funds for their forthcoming building trip, Ian & Elizabeth MacDonald,Gemma Rygate and Shayne Brown hosted two dinners at Liep's Taste of Cambodia restaurant at Cremorne.
Liep, who comes from Sisophon, has a small restaurant in Cremorne. Leip provided a wonderful Cambodian banquet and our guests all donated a minimum of $25 in addition to the cost of the dinner. One guest donated the cost of a whole house - resulting in the group increasing its target of the number of houses they will build.
The restaurant caters for up to 40 people with seating inside and outside. Other building groups in Sydney may wish to consider this as a fun way of raising some funds as well as letting people share in the pleasure of some great Cambodian cooking.

Another sucessful Silk Fair was held at Jacksons Landing (Pyrmont). Amanda Carwardine (Nurturing Threads) had a great array for items for purchase and also order - just in time for Mothers Day.
Alcatel Lucent, has just announced the completion of 45 Houses for Tabitha. This record was a huge excerise for Tabitha and the large Alcatel team. This is great news for the many needy communities and it is great to see one of the major global companies setting aside one entire day during their recent Asia Pacific Leadership meeting for a good cause.
