Tabitha School building Program Problem Statement: Over the past several years, the school project has evolved into a regular development program for Tabitha Cambodia. As our communities go through a process of poverty alleviation, the parents of our families have shown a desire for schools for their children. It is part of a normal healthy process towards their own development. For Tabitha, we are becoming more aware of the need for educational opportunities for our children. Solution: Whenever possible, Tabitha Cambodia will assist our communities in getting a sturdy well built school through construction of these schools and working in conjunction with the Cambodian government. All school built by Tabitha will be government approved and owned schools. The Cambodian government will supply, directors, teachers and school books when the school facility is completed. TFA is now working with Australian supporters to sponsor collections of class rooms and whole schools. Donations for building schools are tax deductible in Australia. For information about the school program contact Jude Quarry.
School Objectives for September 2010- August2011 From September 2010 until August 2011, Tabitha-Cambodia will endeavour to build 12 schools complete with facilities which will provide education for 7,988 students – at a cost of US$780,200.

With a safe house and clean water bringing school participation rates from as low as 15% to over 85%, helping our communities further their own development, required us to build more schools. "We hope to build enough classrooms to hold 70 kids per day - 2 sessions. This is Cambodia - too many kids - not enough classrooms!" Janne |
