On behalf of the Board of Tabitha Foundation Australia (TFA), I am pleased to provide this end of financial year report.Fundraising
Tabitha Australia has been growing strongly year on year, with donations processed in 2006/07 increasing by nearly 90% on last financial year. Below are the annual donation totals since TFA was founded in 2002.
- 2002/03: AUD $39,259
- 2003/04: AUD $67,259
- 2004/05: AUD $162,971
- 2005/06: AUD $259,253
- 2006/07: AUD $493,624
Australian Building Teams
A highlight of this 12-month period was the 20 Australian house-building teams that visited Cambodia, building a total of 205 houses to accommodate approximately 1,640 Cambodians. These teams raised a total of $326,899. In addition to paying the costs of the houses, these funds supported an additional 6,669 families on the Family Development Program. Thank you to these teams.
The remaining $166,725 constitutes general donations, decorations sold at Christmas and money donated for specific items such as wells, bicycles and fishing nets.
We expect an even larger number of Australian teams to visit Cambodia over the next 12 months building an even larger number of houses.
Supporting Two Provinces
For several years Tabitha Foundation Australia has fully funded the Tabitha Cambodia operations in the southern Cambodian province of Kompong Som. In 2006 we committed to funding the neighbouring province of Kampot.
Family Development Program
Throughout Cambodia, Tabitha Cambodia has 28,000 families (affecting 200,000 people) on the "Family Development through Savings Program" and over 30,000 families (240,000 people helped) have "graduated" from the program. See program details.
100% of donations go to Cambodia
We remind you that Board Members are volunteers and that ALL funds raised go to Cambodia - no administration fees are withheld. The Board would like to sincerely thank all those who have given their time and/or money to support the Cambodian poor via TFA.
