SHOW YOU CARE Concert

On September 16th and 17th this year we staged two concerts entitled "Show You Care" at the new Star of The Sea Theatre at Stella Maris College, Manly. They really were wonderful community concerts – we all came together, shared our musical talents and raised $8,000 for two amazing charities: Bear Cottage and Tabitha (helping the poor in Cambodia)

There were performances by St Mary’s Primary School, Stella Maris College and St Paul’s College. We also had St Mary Immaculate Parish, local dancing school Plie’, Groove and Shuffle and around 20 up-and-coming young performers who all study singing with me.

On top of all those great acts, I enlisted the help of lots of my friends in the industry to perform, including Peter Cousens, Dale Burridge and Danielle Everett (Phantom of The Opera), Danielle Barnes (Beauty and The Beast), Brian Langsworth (Witches of Eastwick), Dean Macrae (Les Miserables) and myself included - Simon Hyland (The Boy from Oz). We also featured exciting guest speakers Melinda Gainsford-Taylor and Alyssa-Jane Cook.

It really was a fantastic night at the theatre, an amazing gathering of real community here in Manly.

So, a huge thank you to everyone involved who made the shows such a success. Thank you to all our volunteers, who helped the show run so smoothly, and, of course, thank you to everyone who came to "Show you care".

We raised $8000!! for Bear Cottage and Tabitha. That is a fantastic achievement
